제이무브먼트의 이번 전시는 지역 사회 각계에서 추천을 받은 6인의 젊은 작가들을 초청하여, 소소한 그룹전의 형태로 마련되었다. 

에피쿠로스주의 원자론에 따르면, 세계가 탄생하기 전엔 원자들이 그저 비처럼 평행하게 내리고 있었기에, 그 무엇도 시작되지 않았다. 그러다 어느 순간 그 완벽한 평행 선상에서 어느 원자 하나가 아주 보잘것없이 미미한 움직임(Clinamen)으로 궤도를 벗어나 옆의 원자와 부딪혔고, 그 작은 충돌은 계속 다른 충돌들로 퍼져 나갔다. 그렇게 원자들이 서로 이어지고 끊어지길 반복하는, 마주침(encounter)의 연쇄로 수많은 다양성이 생겨나고, 이 세상이 태어났다는 것이다. 마주치게 하는 것. 그것이 이 공간의 목표일지 모르겠다. 각자의 위치에서 다양한 매체로 작업을 펼치는 이들의 궤적이 이 공간에서 잠시 마주쳐갈 수 있길 바란다.

J. Movement Art Space & Gallery‘s current exhibition invites six young artists, recommended by various sectors of the local community, to come together in the form of a modest group show.

According to the atomic theory of Epicurean philosophy, before the birth of the world, atoms were simply falling parallel to each other like raindrops, and nothing had yet begun. Then, at some point, one atom, insignificant and minuscule, deviated from its perfect parallel trajectory in a slight swerve called “clinamen” and collided with the neighboring atom. This small collision continued to spread through subsequent collisions. Thus, atoms connected and disconnected, giving rise to countless diversities, and creating the world we know today. Encounters. That might be the goal of this art space. We hope that the trajectories of these artists, each working in their own format from their respective positions, briefly intersect within this space.
